ASA Baseball Middle School & High School Leagues
This fall Allen baseball will be working in partnership with Plano Baseball Association (PBA) to help enhance our middle school (13-14U) and high school (15U-18U) leagues. Our middle school and high school teams will be playing games against PBA teams. Approximately half of the regular season games for the season will be held at home on Allen fields for ASA teams. The other half of the games will be played in Plano. Allen teams will play PBA teams through the season at home and in Plano.

*This is for AA division only. Any team interested in the PBA competitive middle school league must register directly with PBA.

TEAM FORMATION:
We are a “Bring your own team” league. You can bring in your own pre-formed team with a minimum of 10 players. You must submit a roster to the ASA office by TBD. Rosters are available at the “Forms” link to the left of the page. Rosters can be faxed to (972) 727-9760 or emailed to Jennifer Hasko at jennifer.hasko@allensports.org
Individual players may also register and will be placed by draft if there are spots available.
REGULAR SEASON GAMES:
Middle School leagues will play 10 games. Approximately half of the games will be played in Allen.
High School leagues will play 11 games. Approximately half of the games will be played in Allen.
Games will be regularly scheduled twice a week. With blackout dates considered, be aware that there may be up to three (3) games scheduled during any given week.
Based on blackout dates and rainouts, double-headers are a possibility.
POST SEASON PLAY:
Middle School leagues will get a 3-game guarantee post-season tournament.
High School leagues will get a single elimination post-season tournament.
There will be 1st and 2nd Place Trophies for Tournament Champions per division.
PRACTICES:
Practices are up to the discretion of the head coach. Due to City Stage 3 Water Restriction fields are NOT available for rent through the City of Allen Parks and Recreation Department.
COACH INFORMATION:
Coaches must register online by using the “Coach’s Corner” button to the left of the page. Coaches must also register at the PBA website - http://www.planobaseball.org/.
Once registered, ASA will run a criminal background check.
The PBA coaches meeting for 13U-18U will be held at TBD at the PBA office, 2301 N. Central Expressway, Suite 138, Plano. (South of Steak & Shake on west side of 75 between Park and Parker) One coach from each team must be in attendance.
Team Blackout Dates (14): Must be submitted to PBA by registration deadline. Go to http://www.planobaseball.org/ and click on "Coaches/Manage Your Team/Blackouts. Coaches are responsible for checking with parents and school district website for major school activities, including TAKS tests, camps, band/orchestra/choir events, holidays, etc. Check with you team parents concerning religious holidays and other sport conflicts. Once schedules are completed, PBA will not make changes due to player conflicts.
UNIFORMS:
Uniforms are NOT included in the registration fee for Allen middle school and high school leagues.
The head coach will coordinate uniforms once team formation is complete.
