"FREE" SKILLS CLINICS OFFERED

Are you not quite sure if Inline Hockey is right for you? Do you want to brush up on your skills from last season? Haven't played inline hockey in a while and need a refresher course?

If you answered YES to any of these questions, you need to head out to The Edge at Allen Station Park to participate in our FREE Player Skills Clinics this spring. The clinics are open to all players of all abilities. The clinics will be held on the following schedule:

6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. Tues., Jan. 19

6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. Thur., Jan. 21

*Both clinics will be held at The Edge at Allen Station Park*

PLAYER EVALUATIONS

    • All NEW or REDRAFTING players must attend player evaluations for the spring season.
    • Player evaluations are a way the league is able to help keep the talent balanced among teams in the divisions. Players are required to come to evaluations and they will be asked to skate several different drills in order for coaches from the division to be able to evaluate their skill level.
    • All players who attend evaluations will be placed on a team. It is not a tryout. No players will be turned away no matter what their skill level is.
    • Some players may be asked to play up to a higher division if their skill level and age permit.
    • If a player does not attend evaluations they will still be placed on a team. However, it is important that all players make every effort to attend the evaluations.
    • Player Evaluations for the Spring 2010 season have been rescheduled for TONIGHT (1-25) at the Edge at Allen Station Park.*

        • Mini Mites - 6:30 p.m.
        • Juniors - 7:00 p.m.
        • Seniors - 7:30 p.m.

 GAMES & PRACTICES

    •  Most games are played on Saturdays. However, some divisions have games on weeknights (Mondays or Tuesdays). Teams typically practice one time a week. Practices and games are held at the Edge at Allen Station Park.
    • Schedules are not known prior to registration closing as we do not know how many players or team we will have prior to that date.
SPRING 2010 TEAM FORMATION INFO

    • Returning FALL players may opt to return to their team from the Fall 2009 Season.
    • All NEW or REDRAFTING players must attend player evaluations for the spring season.
    • Player evaluations will be at The Edge at Allen Station Park on DATE TBD.
    • The player drafts will be held directly following player evaluations. Player drafts will be handled by the coaches and board. The player drafts are not open to the public.
    • All new and redrafting players will be notified of their team placement no more than 1 week after player evaluations. If you do not hear from a coach at that time please contact the ASA office at (972) 727-9565.
    • Senior division will continue to be a "Bring Your Own Team" division, however, teams will be limited on the number of players they can bring in. This will help create a more competitive balance among the teams this season. Specific information about the senior division is available by contacting Inline hockey Commissioner James Chatham at rollerhockey@allensports.org.

 JERSEY & EQUIPMENT

    • All NEW & REDRAFTING players will receive a jersey with registration.
    • Returning players from Fall 2009 will NOT receive a new jersey with registration. They will use the same jersey from the Fall 2009 season.
    • A list of required equipment is available at the "jersey and equipment information" link to the right of the page.
