 To become a Fall 2010 Soccer coach there are several steps.

1) All (NEW and RETURNING) head coaches, assistant coaches, and managers must register online in sports pilot EACH season as an "unassigned coach" in sports pilot. ASA will move you onto your team once we have verified your background checks are completed.

2) New and Returning Coaches, Assistant Coaches and Managers to  Soccer must complete the North Texas State Soccer online background check.  This must be completed each Fall. You will register by using your sports pilot username and password. Please make sure you select ALLEN  as your association, ore we will not get notified you completed it.

3)New Coaches to ASA only must complete the new coaches certification.  This is a requirement by ASA.  ASA shows the new coach certification video Monday-Friday at the ASA office 12pm and 4pm daily.  AND SATURDAY NOW 10am. Steps 1, 2, and 3 above must be completed prior to attending the video. The video is a 40 minute generic sport coaching video.  After completion of the video you will be added to your roster and able to obtain your coaching badge.

ASA is open Saturdays 8am-12pm

4) Badges can be made AFTER team formation at the the ASA  office. You must have a badge in order to be on the sideline as coach.  After August 5th

Soccer also requires New coaches to obtain there "G" Coaching Certificate within there first year of coaching for Ages U5-U8. U9 and above, the "F"  Clinic is recommended but not required. ASA will not be offering an "F" clinic this fall. Only 2 G Clinics.

Saturday August 14th 8am-12pm 

Allen Community Room (Municipal Court/Park and Rec Building)305 Century, Allen, Texas

Field work at Bolin Twin Creeks park

OR

Monday August 30th 6pm-10pm

Allen Community Room (Municipal Court/Park and Rec Building)305 Century, Allen, Texas

Field Work at Celebration Park

This clinic will be part classroom and part Soccer drills. Please bring Water, Soccer Ball, Pen and Paper to class
