February 13 - ASA Softball Shopping Day at Dick's Sporting Goods

Feb. 21 - Registration Closes

Feb. 22 - Late Registration Opens (Only on a space available basis)

Feb. 25 - Softball Coach's Meeting, 6:30 p.m. GREEN Elementary

March 1-March 19 - Pre-season Practices Begin (reservation required)

March 15 - Late Registration Closes

March 22 - Regular Season Begins

March 27 - Opening Weekend Games

April 24 - Photo Day

April 25 - FREE Player Clinic hosted by American Freedom Softball Club, Allen Station Park (Pre-registration required)

May 22 - End of Season Tournament Begins

 League Information

Allen Sports Association softball leagues are grade based and age requirements for each league are based on the Allen Independent School District school registration guidelines.  Allen Sports Association reserves the right to consolidate leagues according to the table below if a single league has four (4) or fewer teams or if the softball board deems consolidation necessary for the benefit of the program.  The League consolidation plan is outlined below: 

6U - Kindergarten and 1st grade

8U - 2nd grade and 3rd grade

10U - 4th grade and 5th grade

12U - 6th grade and 7th grade

14U - 8th grade and 9th grade

Jerseys/t-shirt are included with the registration fee. All other equipment must be provided by the parent/guardian of the player, including but not limited to:

• Cleats (excluding t-ball) - No Metal Cleats Allowed! 
• Glove
• Bat - Bats must be approved by the Amateur Softball Association
• Batting helmet & chin strap (with face mask/cage for 8U & above)
• Shorts
• Socks

Games & Practices

Softball games will be played on weeknights. Saturday games will be scheduled as necessary. Each league will have a different weeknight for games which most games will be scheduled (specific days listed below). All leagues may play Saturday games. The spring season will include up to 8 games and a post-season tournament (excluding t-ball). Games are played at Allen Station Park softball fields.

6U T-Ball (Kindergarten & 1st Grade)-- Thursday & Saturday

8U Machine Pitch (2nd & 3rd Grade) -- Tuesday & Saturday

10U Modified Kid Pitch (4th & 5th Grade) -- Thursday & Saturday

12U (6th & 7th Grade) -- Monday & Saturday

14U (8th & 9th Grade) -- Monday & Saturday

Practices are up to the discretion of the coach. Once teams are formed coaches will inform parents and players of a practice time, day and location for their team. We do not place players based on when or where a team practices because we do not have that information prior to registration closing and team formation.
