| Please read the information below carefully before registering a player. | RETURNING CHEERLEADER REGISTRATION - CLOSED: This registration period is for returning cheerleaders from FALL 2007 who would like to RETURN TO THEIR FALL 2007 SQUAD for the FALL 2008 Season. All returning cheerleaders who want to return to their FALL 2007 rosters MUST register during this period or they will NOT be guaranteed a spot on their returning squad roster. If a returning cheerleader does not register during the returning cheerleader registration period she will be blind-drafted to a squad after late registration closes and team formation is completed. All cheerleaders registering during this period MUST have their registration fee paid by May 25 or they will not be placed on their returning squad roster. | LATE REGISTRATION -- CLOSED : This registration period is for ALL cheerleaders who did not register during the returning player registration or open registration period. All cheerleaders who register during this time will be placed in the unassigned player pool until squad formation is completed. | RETURNING CHEERLEADERS: A returning cheerleader is a cheerleader who cheered on an ASA cheer squad during the FALL 2007 season. Returning cheerleaders may choose to RETURN TO TEAM (Squad) and must register during the "Returning Cheerleader Registration" period to be guaranteed a spot on their returning squad's roster. No cheerleader will be returned to a squad after the returning cheerleader registration period has ended. A returning cheerleader may also choose to re-draft to a new team during the open registration period. Returning cheerleaders who wish to re-draft to a new team may NOT pick the new team. They will be assigned to a new squad via blind draft. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| NEW CHEERLEADERS: A new cheerleader is any cheerleader who has never cheered for ASA cheerleading before. If a cheerleader has never cheered for ASA cheerleading before they are open to recruitment by existing squads within the ASA cheerleading league. If a squad has space on their roster they may recruit new cheerleaders to their squad. All recruited new cheerleaders must be indicated on the squad roster submitted by the head coach. ASA does not provide contact information for existing squads within ASA. A new cheerleader is also any player who has never cheered for ASA cheerleading and who has not been recruited by an exisiting squad or coach. These cheerleaders will be placed in the unassigned player pool until squad formation is completed. New cheerleaders who have not been recuited may be used to create expansion squads for the league or to fill spots on existing rosters that need cheerleaders. No new cheerleader placement requests will be considered. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
RECRUITED CHEERLEADERS: A recruited cheerleader is any NEW cheerleader who has never played ASA cheerleading or who did not cheer for ASA in the FALL 2007 season. These cheerleaders can be recruited by a returning FALL 2007 squad or head coach to fill open roster spots. Recruited cheerleaders must have their name on the squad roster submitted by the head coach of the squad. All recruited cheerleaders should register during the open registration period and will be placed in the unassigned player pool until squad formation is completed on TBD. |

Minimum squad size is 6 cheerleaders and maximum squad size is 12 cheerleaders. Any exceptions must be approved by the Board prior to team formation. |

Cheerleader Registration - CLOSEDReturning cheerleaders need their Sportspilot username and password to register. If you do not know your user name and password please go to www.sportspilot.com and click on "member entrance." Then click on the link that says "I do not know my username and/or password." Enter your email address and your username and password will be emailed to you. If you are returning and you do not use your username and password to register the system will not place you on the squad roster.
All registrations must be completed online. All registrations are subject to a $30 non-refundable administrative fee. Absolutely NO refunds are given once regular registration has closed. |
