Index

ASA basketball offers children in Allen and surrounding areas the opportunity to build their basketball skills while fostering principles of sportsmanship and fair play. We offer up to 3 leagues per grade to accomodate the various skills of each team.

* Winter 2008 -2009 Regular Registration Begins August 15

* Season runs December-March

* Guaranteed 50% playing time

* Teams for boys and girls in grades 1-12

* 8 game regular season ending with our March Madness Post Season Tournament Championship (Grades 3-High School)

* Teams are formed in two ways:

“Bring Your Own Team" from the neighborhood, school, church, or club! Rosters must be a minimum of 7 players but not exceed 10 players on pre-formed teams. For more information, look under "Registration" or contact ASA.
New or Returning players who are not part of a pre-formed team will be placed in the draft pool for newly created teams

* Games are played primarily on Saturdays with some weeknight games.

* ASA offers one hour of practice for teams, Monday - Friday from 6:30-9:30PM.

* Scheduled practice times will be based by grade with lower grades having priority for earlier time slots (space permitting).
