Cheer Camp

ASA Cheerleading

ASA Cheerleading is a recreational program that provides participants with a basic foundation of the fundamentals of cheerleading. The purpose of this program is to encourage the highest ideals of sportsmanship while providing cheer squads for the ASA Fall Football teams. This cheer program strongly emphasizes the child first, and the fundamentals of the sport second.

Cheerleading showcases these fundamental skills by participating in sideline cheer at games and an end of season Cheer Competition. We aim to provide a positive and fun learning environment that gives all participants the opportunity to learn the skills necessary to be successful.

Fall 2021 Updates

We are excited to continue our partnership with the Rockwall, Heath, Wylie & Little Elm youth tackle football & cheer leagues for the fall 2021 season.

All ASA tackle football games  will be held in Allen, Rockwall, and Wylie this fall. Cheer squads should expect to travel for no more than 4 away games in cities outside of Allen.

This partnership makes ASA Football & Cheerleading one of the premier recreational youth tackle football leagues in Texas!

All ASA Flag Football games for Kindergarten through 3rd grade will continue to be played in Allen only.

The season will include 8 regular season games and a play-off game. Some football teams will go on to play in a Super Bowl game and their cheer squads will be able to cheer at this game as well. Most games are on Saturdays, however games will also be played on Monday or Wednesday nights during the season.

A Pre-Season Jamboree is scheduled for a date TBD and cheer squads are welcome to cheer for their assigned football team for this event.

Cheer Camp hosted by NCA (National Cheerleaders Association) is held in August and is open to all ASA & PSA cheer squads/cheerleaders.. (An additional minimal fee may be required for this event).

An end of season competition for all ASA cheer squads is included in the registration fee (excludes kindergarten league). More information on the Cheer Competition will be posted soon!

ASA Cheerleaders will receive a participation t-shirt and participation award at the end of season Cheer Competition.

Please see the chart below for more detailed information on the upcoming season information and the "Important Dates" link to the left for a complete  list of all important dates for the season.

The Board Needs You!   The Volunteer Board is made up of volunteers, just like you. We have Head Coaches, Assistant Coaches and Parents that make up the Board and we're looking for a few more interested volunteers to help out. Volunteer Board Members participate in monthly board meetings, communicate often through email and take part in occasional topic specific meetings, all with the intent of continuing to grow the program.

If you are interested in finding out more about the Volunteer Board or feel that you can help make a difference in the program, please don't hesitate to reach out to one of the existing Board members to discuss further. Changes and growth happen because of the efforts by our many volunteers.  Please help join us in our continual effort to make ASA The Place Where Kids Come To Play.
